We are a metallurgical factory that has been exclusively dedicated to the production of different types of electrical transformers for the Argentine and international markets since 1970.
We are suppliers of electrical power transformers for electrical distribution companies, oil industry companies, power generation companies of all types and particularly renewable energies, among other areas. FOHAMA transformers are a fundamental component of the electrical network of the Argentine Republic.
In our country, we supply for EDESUR, EDENOR, all the Provincial Energy Companies, the different electrical Cooperatives, the conventional generators, and those that use renewable resources (such as wind energy, solar energy, etc.), oil industry companies as the state-owned YPF, Panamerican Energy, Pluspetrol, to name a few.
For over twenty years, FOHAMA electrical transformers for the oil industry have been crossing the Andes, the Pacific and the Atlantic to reach different countries in Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
FOHAMA's integrated management system covers quality, occupational health and safety and environment.

Our expertise in producing non-serial transformers allows clients to obtain a customized product, at prices and deadlines of standard equipment.
The production process intertwines innovation, the generation of added value and artisanal work. FOHAMA's commitment is based on the involvement of workers, engineers and technicians, who integrate specific knowledge into a project that transcends us. The management and administrative offices facing the factory, the engineers touring the facilities and constantly training the workers, make it possible to develop a composite work that has as its fundamental links intellectual development, constant specialization, and the understanding of the productive linkage.

A few years ago, we incorporated cast resin or encapsulated -without fluid- and fireproof transformers into our manufacturing line. These transformers are ideal for installation in large companies, shops, buildings, among others. By this, the needs of multiple individuals are met, while the public-citizen safety of our clients and the population in general is guaranteed.
Transformers for Wind Energy form a new field of insertion. And at FOHAMA we have already developed the technological capacity to install them into wind turbine towers (Slim).

• IRAM 2279 and 2247 for energy distribution in urban and rural areas.
• IRAM 2250 for energy distribution in urban areas of energy distribution companies and industrial companies, which due to its significant consumption does so in Medium Voltage.
• IRAM 2476 for energy sub-distribution in wholesale market networks.
• IRAM 2276 and 2277 for cast resin transformers.
